Regus move abroad for tax refuge
Regus have announced that they are moving their domicile from the UK to Luxembourg.
The FTSE 250 company’s decision to relocate from the UK follows the announcement yesterday by Henderson Group that they are leaving the UK for tax purposes.
Regus currently has a market value of just under £720m and operates over 950 business centres across 400 cities in 70 countries. The company’s products and services include fully furnished, equipped and staffed offices and business support services.
The news will come as a blow to chancellor Alistair Darling, who in May established an international tax forum and met the heads of many of the country’s largest companies in a bid to prevent a business exodus from the UK.
